TYLA celebrates gold and mixtape in Berlin

During her visit to Berlin, superstar TYLA not only celebrated a pre-release party for her upcoming mixtape “#WEWANNAPARTY TAPE” (release date: July 25, 2025), but also her first gold record in Germany. The Epic/Sony Music team surprised the South African artist with a gold award for her single “Water.”

“Water” (release date: July 28, 2023) quickly became a worldwide hit: the single has already been awarded a total of 16 gold, 28 platinum, and 3 diamond awards in various countries. TYLA also received a GRAMMY in 2024 for the song in the newly created category “Best African Music Performance.” She was also honored with three MTV Europe Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and numerous other international awards.

In total, “Water” has now been streamed almost 80 million times in Germany and almost 1.5 billion times worldwide.
